If you’ve always wanted to go on a safari but simply can’t find the time or a few weeks holiday spare to suit your budget, then why not have a look at a one-day safari excursion?

A one-off trip into East Africa can give you everything you’re looking for in a safari, when choosing a game drive of your choice across one of Kenya’s National Parks.

With no limits on the destination or time of year, you will have free reign on where you want to go on your safari trip.

Where is the best place to go for a safari?

Visiting Africa is your chance to get a glimpse at the things you don’t see every day, from the wildlife opportunities to experiencing their way of life.

In Kenya, the Masai Mara allows you to witness the world’s most fascinating wildlife; lion, cheetah, elephants, rhino, giraffe and the infamous wildebeest. With hundreds of animals gracing the open plains throughout the year, it is a popular destination among tourists.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for spectacular panoramas of the highest peak in Africa, Amboseli National Park is the place to visit for its immense views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

On the border of Tanzania, large herds of African elephants encompass the parks plains and swamps, alongside large concentrations of wildlife.

Although these Kenya parks are the prime spots for a safari day trip, there are plenty of other destinations to choose from including; Nairobi National Park, Tsavo East National Park or Lake Nakuru.

What happens on a game drive on safari?

A game drive is taken in a 4×4 vehicle, with an experienced guide who talks you through the wildlife and habitat, whilst driving you across the open plains.

Expect a bumpy ride and plenty of photography opportunities, as you will stop and observe the animals when there’s a sighting.

Safari activities

Game drives are the most common safari activity, however there are plenty of other safari activities available.

Take a hike up to Mount Kenya or Mount Kilimanjaro, go birdwatching and see some of Africa’s stunning birdlife or take a trip to Uganda for a gorilla trekking experience.

Whatever your preference, there are a variety of safari adventures to suit everyone’s interests.

Pack For a Purpose

Cheetah Safaris is a serious advocate of sustainable safari practices in Africa. As part of our efforts and initiative, we engage and support schools and children who need knowledge to better their lives. The best gift a child can be given is education, skills, and creativity.

In this case, we request our guests booking with us, to bring an extra back of supplies. This can be in terms of books, sports materials, and any other items that would change the lives of these kids.
