We at Cheetah Revolution Safaris, value your health safety. We have created a COVID 19 Health Team that is ready to make sure we follow all safari protocols as per the Ministry of Health in Kenya Tanzania, Uganda Rwanda, Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, as well as WHO and IATA Guidelines.

Our COVID 19 Health team works hand in hand with the relevant stakeholders to keep our information up to date. Therefore, our information indicated below might be changed as time goes by.

AIRPORT - HOTEL - PICKUP

AIRPORT PICK UP AND DROP OFF PROCEDURES

Once you land in Kenya Uganda Tanzania Rwanda Zambia Zimbabwe or Botswana, you will meet our Team waiting to receive you. Our Safari Guides and Our Meet and Greet Team will ensure social distance is maintained, no handshakes and your luggage is well sanitized.
You will be served with a sanitizer and pack of gloves and surgical masks to kickstart your safe safari.
Your Temperature will be checked and confirmed. Your status will be recorded in our files to keep records for reference in case of a case.
The Jeep will come well fumigated and sanitized. The Door handles will be sanitized too to enhance safety when opening the doors of the jeep. Each Land cruiser Jeep will carry a maximum of 4 pax, observing the 1.5m rule distance.
After we finish our Safari, we will ensure we sanitized your luggage, sanitize you, and fumigate our land cruiser for the next safari adventure.
All contacts and temperature status before checking in at the airport lounge will be recorded so that we ensure we keep you and our guides safe.

OUR LAND CRUISER JEEP 4X4 SETUP

Each jeep has a dedicated Safari Driver guide who takes care of their own jeeps. Each Safari guide ensures that the jeep is sanitized, fumigated, and stocked with relevant safety and basic items such as sanitizers, masks, gloves, reusable water bottles. Our Jeep will only carry a Max of 4 People, any extra will need an extra jeep. Each guest sits in designated sits, where social distancing is observed, next to a window, and able to reach the pop-up roof and enjoy game views.
The Sit next to the driver is left empty so as to allow the driver to enjoy the 1.5m distance rule, also to put his or her items safely and close in reach.
Our Freezers will be kept at the back seat of the land cruiser, or in the middle, to facilitate distribution of cold drinks. Once you open the feeder we request you sanitize your hands immediately you pick your drink, and sanitize the freezers handle as well.

WHILE ON SAFARI AND GAME DRIVES GUIDELINES

How will we conduct our Game drives and en route Journeys?

As previously stated, our Jeeps will carry a max 4 guests, and in cases of extra guests, we will add an extra jeep to facilitate the social distancing protocols.
Our Safari Guides will always have a mask on, and gloves while on safari or en route journeys.
Our jeeps will be equipped with food hampers that will facilitate your hot lunch while on safari or game drive
You will be given a canvas chair and table and each will sit two guests with a 1.5-meter distance rule.
Every day before and game drives, you will be sanitized, and the jeep be cleaned and fumigated by our safari guide

MEDICAL INSURANCE, MEDICAL HELP & EVACUATION

MEDICAL INSURANCE, MEDICAL HELP, AND EVACUATION COVERS

It’s mandatory that all Guests have Medical insurances that will be ideal in case of any health complications you get.
The properties we work with, have been certified by the Countries Ministry of Health. In case of any medical emergencies, it will be easier to access medical assistance
You will be subjected to mandatory testing and in cases of positive results, Guests will be taken into quarantine for further check-ups and confirmations. If conditions go beyond local medical facilities abilities, we will offer evacuations covers to a certified hospital for more care.
All our safaris have an evacuation cover in case of any emergencies that require intensive care and attention. Our Evacuation is facilitated by Amref International.
All guests are mandated to declare their medical condition with us, which will be kept under strict and high privacy. This is to help us know your current conditions incase you have.

GUEST WITH SYMPTOMS PROCEDURES

What Will Happen If a Guest Tested Positive?

After a confirmed case is confirmed while on Safari, a guest will be given medical attention from a nearby licensed hospital
After being taken to hospital, A guest who has tested positive will be evacuated immediately to Nairobi for proper Medical administration.
If they recover and confirmed by medical experts fit for travel, they will be able to continue with their safari or fly back home.
All contacts who were close to the guest will be quarantined for 14 days as per the government directives and protocols.
Quarantine costs are all on the guest bill. We advise you budget for around 1000 USD per person minimum, in case there are any positive cases while on your holiday.

ACCOMMODATION AND DINING

Sleeping and Dining Arrangements,

We have partnered with credible and certified Safari Camps, Lodges and Hotels to accommodate guests. Every property has their own Standard Operating Protocols. So this will entirely depend with the property you will spend at.

We will always keep you posted on the protocols set in a property you have chosen for your safari.

INTERNAL / DOMESTIC FLIGHTS PROTOCOLS

All Flights within East and Southern Africa have their own Set Standard to observe the required minimum standards to operate.

We will keep you updated on any information relayed to us if we have booked you a flight.

WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU TRAVEL TO AFRICA

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS A GUESTS NEED TO HAVE BEFORE TRAVELLING

The following are to be forwarded to any before your travel to any of our destinations.

Valid COVID -19 certificate for past 14 days before travel
Valid COVID -19 certificate / Results before boarding a plane to any of our destinations
Valid Visa (Encouraged to apply online via www.ecitizen.go.ke)
Valid Flight Return Tickets
Medical and Travel Insurance are mandatory
An extra 1000$ insurance for quarantining accommodation in cases where a guest is confirmed positive. (It’s refundable if paid together with a safari package)
