Located in Tana River County, Kora National Park offers an unspoiled landscape and wilderness, known as the former home of George and Joy Adamson. Dominated by rocky plains and savanna filled with wildlife and woodland, Kore National Park is a distinctive safari destination.

The Last Wilderness

Kora National park is also known as The Last Wilderness and is the third largest national park in Kenya. During your safari excursion, expect to see inselberg’s grace the plains, alongside stunning destinations, such as Adamson’s Falls, Grand Falls and Kora Rapids. You will also encounter diverse birdlife whilst on your visit, adding to the photography worthy landscapes.

Kora is 280km to the north-east of Nairobi.

  • Roads

Road access will be made via Thika to Mwingi, then north-east through Kyuso village.

Nairobi – Thika – Mwingi – Tseikuru – Masyungwa gate – Kampi ya simba

Nairobi – Embu – Meru N. Park – Adamsons gate

The park can be accessed by 3 strips, Kyethoni airstrip, Kampi ya Simba airstrip and Masanduku airstrip in Meru N. Park.
