There is a high concern about the effects the world is facing from plastic pollution. The Aquatic Life, Wildlife, and Human Population are at high risk of being affected. As part of an effort to participate in the sustainable safari campaign, At Cheetah Safaris we have reusable water bottles that are well designed to hold any kind of drink. Our Land Cruiser Jeeps are fitted with dispensable water tanks that are filled every time they’re empty with, clean water. We ensure you get clean water all through the safari, well-distilled mineral water.
For every Safari you book with us, 10% of the booking fees go to support community projects, take kids to school, and create proper wildlife-human interaction awareness. We promote local projects to destinations we frequent like the Masai Mara Reserve, Serengeti National Park, Amboseli National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park, Ngorongorongoro Conservation Area, and many more. Our Sustainable Safari Policy ensures that communities living within and around our protected wildlife areas are supported immensly to show the impact of tourism and safaris.
We ensure our guests buy souvenirs that are not made from wildlife products such as Tusks and horns Elephant Rhinos, Lion Teech, and Much More. These products might’ve been sourced from animals killed for them, denying wildfires their right to live. With a strict ban on wildlife product trade, one is guaranteed a lifetime in jail in Kenya. We, therefore, advise our guests not to carry, buy, or claim to own any wildlife product that might land them in the hands of tough law.
At Cheetah Safaris, we are following the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, impacting the Planet, People, and Profit, what we call the PPP. This ensures that we impact both people and the planet, but also mind the fact that we need to make a profit for the growth and sustainability of our safari operations for a long time. Cheetah Safaris follows 5 core SDGs, including Quality Education, Life and Land, Climate Action, Partnership for the Goals, and Gender Equality.
We are proud members of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that allows travelers like you to make a lasting impact in the community at your travel destination. If you save just a few kilos of space in your suitcase and take supplies for the projects we support in need, you’ll make a priceless impact on the lives of our local children and families.
