Safari Overview
Your journey begins in the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its unique geology and dense concentration of wildlife. Descend into the crater for game drives across a mosaic of habitats that support large prides of lions, herds of elephants, endangered black rhinos, and flocks of flamingoes at Lake Magadi.
From there, you travel into the heart of Serengeti National Park, following the path of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Over the course of six days, explore the Central and Northern Serengeti where endless plains play host to dramatic predator-prey interactions. Each game drive brings new surprises, from cheetahs sprinting across the savanna to massive wildebeest herds navigating crocodile filled rivers.
You’ll stay in luxury tented camps positioned to offer both comfort and proximity to wildlife action, with panoramic views, chef prepared meals, and the sounds of the African bush surrounding you each night.
Enhance your experience with guided nature walks, birding sessions, or cultural visits to Maasai communities. The safari ends with a scenic flight from the Serengeti to Arusha, giving you a final aerial glimpse of the land you’ve come to love.

On pick up from Arusha, our 8 Days 7 Nights Wildebeest Migration safari will start with a drive to the Ngorongoro crater. Arrive in time for lunch. Check in and enjoy your lunch. You will then head out for an afternoon game drive.
Ngorongoro crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. This geological masterpiece was formed as a result of an extremely large volcanic explosion which caused the volcano to collapse on itself thus creating a crater. During the game drive, you will watch many resident animals including large prides of lions, packs of hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas among others and pink flamingoes at Lake Magadi found in the corner of the crater.
We will spend the night at the camp.

Linking these areas is the savanna, dotted with acacia trees and magnificent rock outcrops. You may visit the Simba Kopjes, an outcrop favored by lions and cheetahs as high perches and a place to hide their cubs, and they can often be seen basking in the morning sun on top. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch on the drive from the Ngorongoro Conservation area to the Serengeti National Park.

In the following 5 Nights Wildebeest Migration Tanzania Safaris, we will enjoy most of the Serengeti National Park.
We will explore the various regions Serengeti is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. It has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeests and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. Serengeti is truly home to the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration and this being a migration safari, we will enjoy this firsthand. The park is rich in wildlife, endless plains, sunrises and sunsets that make the heart go wild. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site.
As well as game drives, you can also look forward to fascinating nature walks with your guide.
