About Asanja Grumeti Camp
Asanja Grumeti camp is a luxury tented camp that is located in the western region of the Serengeti. The camp is open all year round as the area receives wildlife all year with many resident animals including a lion pride that stays close to the camp.
Every year you get to see thousands of wildebeest cross the Grumeti river. The river is known for its population of crocodiles and hippo. there is a forest that shades the river and happens to be inhabited by colobus monkeys called the Lush Riparian. The camp is will hidden and in the open woodlands of the Nyasarori plains that’s known for large herds of elephants concentration of wildlife.
With just three private tents you are assured of an intimate and exclusive experience.
ACCESS & LOCATION of Asanja Grumeti Camp
The camp is to the west of the Serengeti, a 10-minute drive from the Grumeti River inside the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
The camp is accessible by both road and air. Its nearest airstrip is Grumeti Airstrip, with the flight from Arusha taking an hour. Followed by a 20-minute top drive to the camp. By road, the camp is about 7 to 8 hours from Arusha, depending on weather and road conditions.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Asanja Grumeti Camp
The camp only has 3 private guest tents, which are spacious and designed with modern amenities. Each tent has an outdoor shower and a private verandah. Some of its amenities include double beds, ensuite bathrooms, hot water, mosquito nets, a campfire, and professional safari guides. There is a dining tent that offers a communal dining area, but there is also an outdoor dining option. There is a lounge area that is uniquely designed to provide a comfortable space for relaxation and wildlife views.
With activities ranging from game drives to hot air balloon safaris, sundowners, and bush meals. The camp can also host intimate weddings and honeymoons.
