Asilia Sayari Camp is owned and operated by Asilia Africa and is an amazing property in the Kogatende region of the Serengeti National Park. The camp is a luxurious safari retreat in Tanzania. It has amazing wildlife sightings especially of the great wildebeest migration with its strategically position near the Mara river. The mara river happens to be between the Serengeti and Maasai mara. Get to see the herds plunging into the water.
The camp also happens to have an onsite microbrewery which produces 4 unique beers.
Best times to visit:
June to September – A good time to witness the wildebeest migration as they cross the Mara River and see as crocodiles and big cats prey on the herds.
October to January – You witness the last river crossings. This period experiences short raits beginning late October which attracts migratory birds from all over Europe and Asia.
February to May – The weather offers great wildlife viewing opportunities as there are sunny days with occasional short showers in the afternoon. The heavy rains begin late March all through April and May. At this point the camp usually closes and opens up in June for the river crossing of the wildebeest and zebras.
