About Aurari Camp Serengeti
Aurari Camp Serengeti is a serene sanctuary located in the northern Serengeti and close to the Maasai Mara. The camp is made of private comfortable tented suites with views towards the Mara River.
The camp is specifically located in Wogakuria, the Mara river region of the Serengeti National Park. What this means its that this is among some of the few places that give you amazing views of the Great Migration due to its proximity to The Mara River. You get to experience the wilds of the serengeti in comfort and style.
The camp is open January to March and May to December and closed on April. The child policy is 5 years and above.
ACCESS & LOCATION of Aurari Camp Serengeti
The camp is accessible by air as the nearest airstrip is Kogatende with a flight taking about two hours from the Arusha airport. Followed by a short drive of approximately 45 minutes drive from the airstrip to the camp. The camp offers transfers from the airstrip.
By road self driving is not permitted. Instead road transfers should be made through your tour operators who will coordinate with the camp to secure the necessary permits.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Aurari Camp Serengeti
Aurari camp consists of 6 tented suits on raised hardwood platforms. It is solar powered although there is a back-up generator for cloudy days. Each tent has an interior living area of 50m² not including the additional decked space outside of the structure. The tent is split into three namely the bedroom, lounge area and bathroom wing. The suites can compromise of a king sized bed or a couple of large twin beds. For travelling families with young children an extra queen size or a par of smaller twin beds can be placed in the adjoining lounge.
