Elephant Valley Lodge is set within the Kasane Forest Reserve between Chobe National Park in Botswana and the Matetsi wildlife conservancy in Zimbabwe. ACCESS & LOCATION of Elephant Valley Lodge
The lodge is located about 12 kilometres from Kasane, which serves as the main entry point to Chobe National Park. Kasane International Airport is the closest airport, with direct flights from Maun, Gaborone, and Johannesburg. Flight times are approximately 1 hour 30 minutes from Maun, 1 hour 45 minutes from Gaborone, and 2 hours from Johannesburg. From Kasane Airport, the lodge is a short 25-minute drive.
For guests arriving from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe or Livingstone in Zambia, transfers take about 1 hour including border formalities. Self-drive access is possible, and the route is straightforward on tarred and well-maintained gravel roads.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Elephant Valley Lodge
Elephant Valley Lodge offers 20 safari style Meru tents set among natural gardens and shaded trees. Each tent features comfortable twin or double beds, en-suite bathrooms with flush toilets and showers, a writing desk, and a private veranda overlooking either the forest or the waterhole. The canvas design keeps guests close to nature while still providing the comfort of electricity, ceiling fans, and quality bedding.
The main lodge area includes a spacious thatched dining room, a lounge with comfortable seating, and a large wooden deck for open air dining and wildlife viewing. There is also a swimming pool, a boma for evening campfires, and a waterhole that attracts elephants, antelope, and sometimes predators. Meals are a mix of buffet and plated service, with both local and international dishes prepared fresh daily. Complimentary tea and coffee are available throughout the day.
