ACCESS & LOCATION of Embalakai Camps Serengeti
The closest airstrip is Seronera airstrip at central serengeti that’s about 45 minutes to 1 hour from the camp. There are other nearby airstrips depending on the seasonal locations that are Ndutu airstrip to the south of the Serengeti and Grumeti airstrip that is to the west of the Serengeti. There are also daily flights available from Arusha airport, Kilimanjaro International airport or Dar es Salaam. Flights from Arusha rake an hour and those from Kilimanjaro International Airport is 1.5 hours.
The drive from Arusha to the Serengeti by road takes 6 to 7 hours, depending on road conditions with a scenic route through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Embalakai Camps Serengeti
The camp has 13 tents which can be set up for single, double, triple or family occupancy. It can host groups of up to 30 people and have netted bedding available for babies on request. Each tent has its own solar unit which provides electricity for the lighting, plug sockets and hot water.
The inside bathroom facilities include a private hot shower and a western toilet. Each tent is fitted with a dresser and mirror, a small cupboard with a clothes hanging space as well as a storage trunk. Each tent has an outside platform with seats and a table. A walkie talkie system is in place, so that you are able to contact the team at any time.

Game Drives
The camp offers morning, full day and evening game drives. You can start your day with an sunrice drive and spot the wildlife when they are most active. You could also take the full day game drive and explore the vast plains of the Serengeti as you focus on wildlife hotspots like the Seronera valley and the Grumeti River. You could also do evening game drives and have a glance at the nocturnal animals and predators as they become active once darkness hits.
