Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti is located in the heart of Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lodge is perfectly positioned near the Central Serengeti, providing guests with front-row seats to the famous Great Migration, as well as year-round wildlife viewing opportunities. It is surrounded by vast savannahs, kopjes (granite outcroppings), and watering holes.
It was opened in 2012 and was designed to blend modern luxury with the raw beauty of the African wilderness. Its location was chosen for its proximity to Serengeti’s abundant wildlife and dramatic landscapes, making it an ideal base for exploring the park’s wonders. The lodge also prioritizes sustainability, incorporating eco-friendly practices to preserve the natural environment and support local communities.
There is a year round waterhole located just below the main deck that draws a variety of animals daily, providing endless entertainment for guests. Additionally, the Serengeti’s plains and unique rock formations serve as a stunning backdrop for game drives and walking safaris.

By Road
Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti is located in the Central Serengeti, about 45 kilometers from Seronera, the park’s main hub. For travelers already within Tanzania, it’s possible to drive to the lodge from nearby destinations such as Arusha or Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive from Arusha takes approximately 6 to 7 hours. A 4×4 vehicle is recommended due to rugged terrain within the Serengeti National Park.
By Air
You can fly to the Seronera Airstrip, which is located about a 45 minute drive from the lodge. Charter flights and scheduled services operate daily from major airports like Arusha Airport, Kilimanjaro International Airport, and Zanzibar. The flight duration from Arusha is approximately one hour, while it takes around two hours from Zanzibar.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Four Seasons Safari Lodge
The lodge has 9 accommodations, 4 guest rooms, 2 suites and 3 villas. The four guest rooms are Horizon room water hole view, savannah room waterhole view, savannah room and horizon room, which have either one king or two twin beds, one full bathroom with separate shower and deep soaking tub. It also has a private terrace, refrigerated private bar and flat screen television with cable. They can occupy 3 or 2 adults and a child. the water hole view rooms have a view of both the animal watering hole and Serengeti plains while the others just have views of the Serengeti plains.
The suites have an elevated open air terrace with direct views over the Serengeti plains or the animal water hole and are complemented by a private pool. The indoor areas have a master ensuite bedroom, lounge area with a double trundle bed and a second bathroom. The villas are either the presidential that holds up to 6 adults or 4 adults and two children. It comes with three king size beds and a sleeper sofa, a spacious lounge with floor to ceiling glass windows , a private infinity pool, private in-villa gym and a full kitchen. It has three full bathrooms, two with deep soaking tubs and outdoor showers and one powder room.
The two bedroom villa has two king beds, or one king and two twin beds and one cot. Can fit either 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. Has a private pool, outdoor shower for each ensuite bedroom, a full kitchen and two full bathrooms, and outdoor shower and one powder room. The one bedroom villa has a king bed and sleeper sofa, can occupy 3 adults or 2 adults and a child, has a private pool, an outdoor shower, full bathroom and a full kitchen.

Early morning drives offer the chance to see predators hunting, while evening drives showcase nocturnal wildlife. In this game drives you have the opportunity to spot lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhinos, along with countless other species, including cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. With the seasonal highlight is the Great Migration which is a key attraction.

Through an interactive Wildlife education you can get to learn about the Serengeti’s ecosystem, conservation efforts, and the Great Migration through exhibits, films, and expert led discussions. There are also photography workshops where you can receive tips from professional photographers to improve their wildlife photography skills.

Yoga and Meditation sessions are held on the outdoor yoga deck, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Serengeti. And after a day of adventure you can unwind with massages and therapies at the Serengeti Kani Spa.
Walking Safaris and Hot Air Balloon Safaris
Walking safaris are led by professional guides. These walks allow you to experience the Serengeti on foot and give you an opportunity to observe smaller animals and tracking wildlife footprints. The hot air balloon safaris have you drifting above the plains at sunrise in a hot air balloon, enjoying unparalleled views of the landscape and wildlife.
