Ngoma Safari Lodge is a boutique luxury lodge located on the edge of Botswana’s Chobe Forest Reserve, offering sweeping views over the Chobe River and its vast floodplains. The lodge is renowned for its intimate atmosphere, personalized service, and its ability to provide both exclusivity and easy access to Chobe National Park. With only a small number of suites, it offers privacy and tranquility while still placing guests right in the heart of one of Africa’s most wildlife rich areas. ACCESS & LOCATION of Ngoma Safari Lodge
Ngoma Safari Lodge is situated in the Chobe Forest Reserve, approximately 55 kilometres west of Kasane in northern Botswana. Most guests arrive via Kasane International Airport, which is serviced by flights from Maun, Gaborone, and Johannesburg. Flight times are about 1 hour 30 minutes from Maun, 1 hour 45 minutes from Gaborone, and 2 hours from Johannesburg.
From Kasane Airport, the lodge is reached by a 1 hour road transfer, which includes passing through scenic rural villages and forested landscapes. Guests travelling from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe or Livingstone in Zambia can reach the lodge in approximately 2.5 to 3 hours by road, including border crossings. Self drive guests can also access the lodge via well maintained gravel roads, though a 4×4 vehicle is recommended for the final approach.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Ngoma Safari Lodge
Ngoma Safari Lodge features eight luxurious river facing suites designed with natural materials that blend into the surrounding environment. Each suite has a spacious bedroom with either king or twin beds, floor to ceiling glass doors that open onto a private deck, and a plunge pool overlooking the Chobe floodplains. En-suite bathrooms offer both indoor and outdoor showers, double vanities, and deep soaking tubs.
The main lodge includes a dining area with panoramic views, a comfortable lounge with an open fireplace, a viewing deck perfect for sunset drinks, and a well stocked bar. The lodge offers complimentary Wi-Fi in communal areas, a small library, and curated local artwork throughout. Meals are crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients and can be enjoyed indoors or al fresco under the stars.

Game Drives in Chobe National Park
Guests enjoy morning and afternoon game drives into Chobe National Park, where elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, and abundant plains game are regularly sighted. Drives are conducted in open 4×4 vehicles with expert guides.
Boat Safaris on the Chobe River
Half or full day boat excursions offer close up encounters with elephants crossing the river, hippos wallowing, and crocodiles basking along the banks. These trips are also excellent for birdwatching and photography.
Guided Bush Walks
Accompanied by armed guides, guests can explore the surrounding forest reserve on foot, learning about tracks, plant life, and smaller creatures often missed on game drives.
