Accessing Tau Pau Camp by road is possible for experienced wilderness drivers, though most guests choose to fly in due to the remote location and challenging terrain.
Primary Route: Most travelers drive from Maun via Rakops.
Distance: The journey is approximately 330 km.
Travel Time: Expect a minimum of 7 to 8 hour’s of driving.
Tau Pan Camp is primarily accessed via light aircraft flights to the Tau Pan Airstrip located within the Central Kalahari Game Reserve Flight Routes and Durations
Scheduled and charter flights connect the camp to major regional hubs.
From Maun (MUB): Approximately 40 to 60 minute’s.
From Kasane (BBK): Approximately 2 hour’s.
Standard Suites (8): Each spacious suite is built under a traditional thatch roof with insulated walls to maintain comfortable temperatures year-round.

King-sized double or twin beds with mosquito-free four-poster frames.
En-suite bathroom with double vanity basins, flushing toilet, and both indoor and outdoor showers.
Private viewing deck with outdoor seating and panoramic views of the waterhole.
Living area is equipped with armchairs, a writing desk, a ceiling fan, and charging stations with international multi-plugs.
Family Suite (1): This unit includes a standard en-suite double bedroom and a second twin-bedded room. The two bedrooms share the en-suite bathroom.
Sleep-out Deck: Located on the eastern side of the camp, this elevated platform features a double bed, basin, and WC for an overnight experience under the stars.
It is available on a “first-come, first-served” basis, but guests staying three nights or more can pre-book.
