ACCESS & LOCATION of Zambezi Queen
The Zambezi Queen operates on the Chobe River, which forms the boundary between Botswana’s Chobe National Park and Namibia’s Caprivi Strip. Guests typically fly into Kasane International Airport, which receives daily flights from Maun, Gaborone, and Johannesburg. Flight time from Maun is about 1 hour 30 minutes, from Gaborone 1 hour 45 minutes, and from Johannesburg around 2 hours.
From Kasane Airport, the transfer to the river involves a short 10 minute drive to Kasane Immigration, a boat ride of approximately 15 minutes to the Namibian side, and then another quick boat transfer to the Zambezi Queen. Total transfer time from Kasane Airport is usually 45 minutes to 1 hour. Guests travelling from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe or Livingstone in Zambia can reach the boat in around 2 to 2.5 hours, including border formalities.
