By Road
- Shaba National Reserve is about 314 kilometers from Nairobi, a drive of approximately 6-7 hours via Isiolo. The road is mostly paved, but the final stretch may require a 4×4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season.
By Air
- There are charter flights from Wilson Airport in Nairobi to nearby airstrips such as Samburu, Buffalo Springs, or Shaba airstrip.
