Evans Thubuku has spent the last twenty five years in the safari industry, guided by a deep love for nature and the wild. Over the years he has built a wealth of experience, turning ordinary game drives into unforgettable moments for guests while sharing his knowledge of animals, birds, plants, African culture, and history.
His favourite destination is the Maasai Mara National Reserve because of its incredible wildlife diversity and the dramatic Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara River in one of the most powerful spectacles in nature.
Throughout his career he has witnessed many extraordinary wildlife moments, including an elephant giving birth, a giraffe delivering while standing, lions hunting, and sightings of elusive leopards and cheetahs. One of his most unforgettable experiences was watching four male lions engage in a fierce battle for dominance. Among all animals, cheetahs remain the most fascinating to him because of their remarkable speed, agility, and graceful hunting style.
He enjoys guiding guests who are curious and eager to learn about Africa’s wildlife, landscapes, and diverse cultures. His guiding approach is shaped by decades of experience, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping visitors connect with the wild.
Over the years he has attended various trainings and seminars in the tourism industry, though he believes that real experience in the field is the greatest teacher. When he is not guiding, he enjoys reading and spending time with his family.
