Joel is always a big fan of nature and loves travelling, which naturally led him into the safari industry. He has been guiding for two years locally and also spent one year organizing international tours in Dubai, giving him a well-rounded experience in tourism and travel.
His favourite destination is Amboseli National Park because of its incredible elephant herds and the breathtaking scenery beneath Mount Kilimanjaro. For him, elephants are the most fascinating animals because of their intelligence, strong social bonds, and the way they protect their young.
One of his most memorable wildlife experiences was witnessing two adult male lions hunting a buffalo, a powerful reminder of the raw and dramatic nature of the wild. He also enjoys sharing surprising wildlife facts with guests, such as the rare sight of lions climbing trees or the unexpected encounters that sometimes happen between predators.
He loves showcasing Kenya’s beauty to visitors, from its rich culture to the stunning landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and the history behind it. His guiding approach is built on experience, strong knowledge of tourism, and a passion for helping guests discover the diversity of Kenya.
When he is not guiding, he enjoys watching safari documentaries, travelling to new destinations, and spending time with his family.
