About Amani Mara Lodge
Amani Mara Lodge is an eco-conscious luxury safari oasis located in Kenya’s Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Amani is a Swahili word that means ‘peace’ and this lodge assures you of that. The lodge is specifically located at Olare Orok that’s within the great Maasai Mara. Situated 5km from Maasai Mara National Reserve.
With the lodge planting 12 trees per guest it is promoting eco-tourism. Amani Mara is fully solar powered with a generator as backup in the case of an emergency. The area is not fenced hence offering great views of animals around the cottages.
ACCESS & LOCATION of Amani Mara Lodge
The lodge is accessible by both flights and road. Flights are from the Wilson airport in Nairobi to either Ol kiombo or Musaira airstrips which takes approximately 45 minutes. The lodge then offers transfers from the airstrips which is 45 to 1 hour.
By road it takes you around 6 hours drive from Nairobi, Kenya’s Capital City.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Amani Mara Lodge
Accommodations wise, the lodge offers 10 cabins that are African style built with the help of local Maasai women who do traditional plaster mixture with cow dung and mud. With each room having handcrafted king size beds, well appointed patios, raised viewing decks for game spotting and en-suite fully equipped bathrooms, bathrobes and slippers.
In terms of facilities, there is an infinity freshwater pool that overlooks a magical waterway that has hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife. There is also a kids pool. If you are travelling with a car no worries the lodge has a free car park. 24 hours solar powered with a back up generator. WIFI services and laundry services. Night walks, cultural visits, sundowner, dinner under the stars and bush dinners are provided.
