ACCESS BY ROAD.
Access by road to chimpundu safari lodge is primarily conducted via two main routes from Kampala, with the northern route being the most common and efficient option for travelers.
The northern route (shortest); This is the most recommended path, covering approximately 309 km.
Path: KamapalaтАФ Mityana тАФ Mumbende тАФFort PortalтАФKibale.
The journey typically takes around 5 to 6hours on fully tarmacked roads.
The southern Route (scenic): This longer route is approximately 555km and offers different landscape views.
Path: Kampala тАУ Masaka тАУ Mbarara тАУ ibanda тАУ Kamwenge тАУ Kibale.

The most convenient route is a domestic flight from Entebbe International Airport (EBB) or Kajjansi Airstrip to Kasese Airport (KSE).
Flight duration is approximately 60 to 75 minutes.
Upon landing at Kasese, a pre-arranged safari vehicle is required to reach the lodge.
The distance to the lodge is approximately 60km from Kasese Airstrip.
The travel time is between 1 to 2 hours depending on road conditions.
Alternative Airstrip: If Kasese is unavailable, flights can occasionally land at Mweya Airstrip (Queen Elizabeth National Park) or Tooro Airstrip in Fort. The ground transfer from Mweya Airstrip to Chimpundu Safari lodge takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
