Tor’s Camp is a mid-range accommodation nestled within the riverine forest of the Olare Orok River, inside the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Situated approximately a 30-minute drive from the Talek Gate, the camp offers guests an authentic and immersive safari experience.
By Road
Tor’s Camp is about 250 km from Nairobi, taking approximately 5 to 6 hours by road via Narok town.
By Air
Guests can opt for a 45 minute flight from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to the Maasai Mara, followed by a short transfer to Tor’s Camp.
Tor’s Camp offers two primary accommodation options:
Glamping Tents
Fully furnished, self-catered tents that provide a comfortable camping experience. Each tent accommodates up to two persons and includes amenities such as en-suite bathrooms with hot showers, electricity charging points, and private verandas overlooking the forest.
Campsites
Spacious private campsites alongside the Olare Orok River, accommodating up to 14 people. These sites are ideal for self-sufficient travelers, offering facilities like BBQ setups, mini-mess tent structures, hot water showers, and access to electricity for charging devices.
Tor’s Camp also features a communal mess tent equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, cold drinks, and comfortable seating, providing a relaxing space for guests to unwind after a day of safari adventures.
Game Drives
Guests have access to private 4×4 vehicles and professional local guides, allowing for tailored game drives. The camp’s prime location within the Maasai Mara ensures exceptional wildlife sightings, particularly of big cats.
