Best Time to Visit Lake Nakuru National Park

Generally, Kenya is best to visit in the dry-season months of July – October when the parks are dry and wildlife viewing is dramatic, easy, and action-packed.

Low Season

1st April to June 15th and 15th Nov to 15th Dec

How to get to Lake Nakuru National Park

It’s located west of Nairobi and Approx 200 km from Nairobi. The main gate is 4 km from Nakuru Town Centre, Gates accessible are:-  There are three gates to the National Park, the main gate, Lanet Gate, and Nderit Gate.

The road to the park’s main gate has a direct connection to Nairobi. It is also possible to enter the park from the main Nairobi Nakuru road at Lanet Gate. The Nderit Gate is used by people accessing the park from Masai Mara or Elementaita.
