Day One: Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

On the 5th day, we will wake up as early as 0630am for our early breakfast and thereafter leave for the whole day game drive packed with your picnic lunch.

The Masai Mara is famous for its lions, elephants, leopards, rhino, and buffalo which make the ’big five’ though luck is essential for spotting the other two namely which are rather shy and elusive. The park’s animal concentration and abundance are second to none.

Depending on the time of your visit, you might experience the great wildebeest migration where millions of wildebeest and zebras from the Serengeti (Tanzania) migrate to Mara in search of water and pasture. With this migration, predators follow route making it quite a wild experience.

You will be able to see the hippo pool where with luck you may spot crocodiles basking on the rocks. Numerous plains game including antelopes, wildebeest, zebra, and Masai giraffes can be seen as well as scavengers like hyenas and vultures.

Then after lunch, you will proceed for another afternoon game drive as you return to the camp at around 1830hrs where you will be received by our staff with a cup of African tea or coffee as you wait for the dinner to be served, overnight at the camp.
