4 Days 3 nights Ndutu Calving Safari
This safari begins with a scenic road transfer from Arusha to the legendary plains of Ndutu, located in the southern corridor of the Serengeti ecosystem. As you journey through the Ngorongoro Highlands, you’ll enjoy a stop at a crater viewpoint before arriving at your luxurious camp nestled in the heart of the migration route. The Ndutu region, with its open plains and scattered woodlands, becomes a bustling nursery during the calving season as hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebra give birth, drawing the attention of big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
Spend your full days exploring the endless Ndutu plains with expert guided game drives in open sided 4×4 land cruisers, designed for optimal photography and wildlife viewing. With every turn, you may spot newborn calves finding their footing and predators stalking in the golden grass. Bird enthusiasts will also be delighted by the diverse birdlife that thrives in this region, from raptors to waterbirds. In addition to wildlife, the area holds ancient human history, as nearby archaeological discoveries in the region reveal some of the oldest humanoid fossils and footprints ever found.
Throughout the journey, you’ll enjoy personalized service, full board gourmet meals, and evenings spent under the stars at the exclusive Acacia Migration Camp. After your final breakfast, you’ll return to Arusha, marking the end of a compact but powerful safari experience. This itinerary is ideal for travelers seeking a focused, high-impact wildlife adventure with deep seasonal significance.
