A Carefully Designed Safari By The Experts

Tanzania and Zanzibar Safari

Your journey begins in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s Northern Circuit. You’ll be welcomed by your expert guide and set off to Tarangire National Park, a landscape dominated by ancient baobab trees and vast savannahs. This park is famous for hosting one of the largest concentrations of elephants in East Africa. During the dry season, Tarangire becomes a wildlife magnet, drawing in massive herds of buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and their predators. Watch as lions lounge under acacias and giraffes silhouette against golden sunsets.

Next, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, home to the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera: the Ngorongoro Crater. Descending into the crater is like stepping into a lost world, a self-contained ecosystem brimming with lions, black rhinos, hippos, flamingos, and the elusive leopard. With dense wildlife populations and sweeping views from the crater rim, it’s one of the most dramatic safari experiences in Africa.

From there, continue to the legendary Serengeti National Park, where wildlife roams freely over an area larger than some countries. With two nights in the Serengeti, you’ll have ample time to explore different zones—from the open plains to rocky kopjes—and witness predator-prey dynamics firsthand. Depending on the season, you might catch the Great Wildebeest Migration, with herds numbering in the hundreds of thousands. Expect to see cheetahs sprinting across open fields, hyenas cackling in the distance, and elephants gathering at waterholes. Each day ends with a campfire under star-filled skies at your comfortable bush camp.

On Day 5, your safari experience shifts from the savannah to the sea. You’ll be transferred to Arusha Airport for a domestic flight to Zanzibar, the exotic spice island of the Indian Ocean. Upon landing, a driver will meet you and escort you to your beachside resort. Settle in with views of the turquoise sea and swaying palms.

Spend the next two full days in Zanzibar doing exactly what you want, be it sunbathing on pristine beaches, indulging in a spice tour, exploring the UNESCO listed Stone Town, or setting out on a snorkeling or dolphin watching excursion. The pace slows, allowing you to soak in the rich culture and natural beauty of the island.

On Day 8, after breakfast, your driver will transfer you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport, where you’ll begin your journey home, carrying with you memories of lions, sunsets, coral reefs, and the unforgettable spirit of Tanzania.

Day One: Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

On this day, you’ll explore the various regions Serengeti is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. It has the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeests and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November and then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge or crocodile infested river can hold them back. Serengeti is truly home to the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration. The park is rich in wildlife, endless plains, sunrises and sunsets that make the heart go wild. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site. Late in the afternoon, drive to back to camp for dinner and your overnight.
