How far in advance should I book my luxury safari?
To secure the finest boutique lodges and intimate tented camps, especially during peak seasons like the Great Migration (July to October) or the festive season, we highly recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance. Last-minute bookings are possible, but options for premier accommodations become highly limited.
Are our safaris fully customizable?
Absolutely. Every itinerary we design is bespoke, tailored entirely to your personal travel style, pacing, and specific interests (e.g., professional wildlife photography, multi-generational family travel, or romantic honeymoons).
You have full autonomy over your daily schedule, accompanied by your private guide.
What is included in a Cheetah Safaris itinerary?
Our comprehensive luxury itineraries are fully inclusive to ensure a seamless, stress-free journey. Typically, your quote includes:
- All boutique or luxury lodge accommodations are on a full-board basis and in other cases all-inclusive.
- All domestic, regional, and charter flights or executive road transfers.
- Unlimited game drives in customized, open-roof 4×4┬аsafari vehicles.
- All national park, reserve, and private conservancy conservation fees.
- Dedicated, professional English-speaking safari guides.
- Select authentic cultural experiences and community-led conservation visits.

What types of vehicles do you use for game drives?
We operate a fleet of specially customized, heavy-duty 4×4 Land Cruisers.
To maximize guest comfort and ensure unobstructed 360-degree views for photography, we limit occupancy to a maximum of 4 to 6 guests per vehicle.
Every passenger is guaranteed a window seat with access to the pop-up or open roof, complete with charging points for camera gear and refrigerated, complimentary drinks.
What does a typical day look like on safari with Cheetah Safaris?
Wildlife is most active during the cooler hours of the day. A classic daily flow consists of:
- 06:00 AM: Early morning wake-up with fresh coffee/tea, followed by a sunrise game drive when predators are hunting.
- 09:30 AM: A bush breakfast or return to the lodge for a gourmet mid-morning meal.
- Mid-day: Leisure time to relax at the lodge, enjoy spa facilities, or edit photographs during the harsh midday sun.
- 03:30 PM: Afternoon tea followed by an evening game drive, concluding with scenic sundowner drinks in the bush.
- 07:30 PM: Return to camp for a multi-course dinner and fire-side conversations.

What is required to confirm my safari booking?
To officially secure your bespoke safari itinerary, lodge accommodations, and any regional bush flights, we require a completed booking form along with a non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total tour cost.
Upon receipt of the deposit and confirmation from our partner properties, we will issue your official booking confirmation and invoice.

When is the final balance payment due?
The remaining balance of 60% is due exactly 60 days before your safari departure date. If a booking is made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required immediately upon confirmation.┬а

What payment methods do you accept?
For your convenience and security, Cheetah Safaris offers two primary payment methods:
- International Bank Wire Transfer (SWIFT): Directly to our corporate bank account in Kenya (details will be provided on your official invoice).
- Secure Online Credit Card Portal: We accept all major international credit cards (Visa and Mastercard).
- Note: Wire transfers are subject to your local bank’s transactional fees, while credit card payments may incur a standard merchant processing fee.
What are your cancellation policy?
Because boutique safari lodges, intimate luxury tented camps, and regional aviation operators have strict, non-negotiable cancellation policies, all cancellations must be submitted to Cheetah Safaris in writing.
