How do you Get to Elephant Hab Lodge?

Elephant Hab Lodge is accessible via two primary road routes from Kampala or Entebbe, depending on your preferred scenery and travel time. The lodge is located approximately 400 meters from the Kyambura Trading Centre in Kyambura town.

Via Mbarara and Bushenyi (southern Route): This is typically the fastest route, taking approximately 6 to 7 hours to cover about 375-378km.

Via Fort Portal and Kasese (Northern Route): A slightly longer but very scenic route of approximately 420 km, requiring 7 to 8 hours of travel.

Access to elephant Hab Lodge by air you can take a domestic flight to one of several airstrips serving Queen Elizabeth National Park. The lodge is in the Kichwamba area, the Kyambura Gorge. The flight duration from Entebbe to the Kasese/Mweya area takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Flying cuts a 7-to-8-hour overland drive down to a1-hour and 20-minute flight.

Ground Transfers: Upon landing, you will need to arrange a road transfer to the lodge. The drive covers Approximately 50.5km to the lodge, it takes roughly 55 minute’s  to 1 hour.

What Facilities are at Elephant Hab Lodge?

 

The lodge features independent, grass-thatched structures built using traditional African wood, canvas, and stone to blend seamlessly with the environment. All cottages have grass-thatched roofs that regulate internal temperatures.

 Standard Safari Cottages: Spacious concrete and canvas structures featuring king-size wooden beds, local rugs, and mosquito nets.                The en-suite bathrooms include both a bathtub and a shower.

Deluxe Safari Cottages: These are expansive, premium-tier cabins designed for guests seeking additional privacy and luxury.                                 They feature upgraded furnishings and broader views of the park.

Room Types: Offers single, double, twin, triple, and family-sized cottages. Both Standard and Deluxe options are available, Deluxe cottages high-end more expansive cabins featuring premium warm wood décor and enhanced privacy.

In-Room Features: Self-contained units with king-sized beds, mosquito nets, private bathrooms with hot/cold showers, and a private wooden deck.

Camping Space: A dedicated, secure campsite on the property grounds that accommodates budget travelers with their own ground tents or 4×4 rooftop camping setups.
