About Amboseli Sopa Lodge
Set within 200 acres of private land below Mount Kilimanjaro is Amboseli Sopa Lodge. Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest and most snow capped mountain. Amboseli National Park is just a twenty minute drive from the lodge.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge is within gardens that have a wide variety of trees and plants, which include thorn trees, giant cacti, fragrant Frangipani, acacias, and colourful bougainvillea. Also home to numerous animals like duikers, mongooses, monkeys, squirrels, and others. Different species of birds are also visible.
Around the area is a well stocked boutique with a variety of souvenirs, T-shirts, books, and safari clothing. There is also a vibrant Maasai handicraft market attached to the area where you can request designs.

The lodge is about 250 kilometers from Nairobi, with the journey taking between 3 to 4 hours.
There are flights available from Nairobi to Amboseli that take about 30 minutes, followed by an hour’s drive from the airstrip to the lodge.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Amboseli Sopa Lodge
The lodge has 83 rooms (81 standard rooms, 1 honeymoon suite, 1 presidential suite). The standard rooms consist of double/twin rooms, single rooms, triple rooms and quad rooms that have 2 adults sharing with 2 children below 16 years. The rooms are spacious and designed to resemble traditional Maasai huts with brightly decorated Maasai themed wall murals which provides you with an authentic cultural experience. The presidential suite has a private dining room and an attached kitchenette, a huge lounge area and a simple vast veranda.
The property offers 24 hour security, laundry services, a pool for both adults and kids, secure parking, communal dining, self guided nature walks and bird walks for an hour at an additional fee. There is bush and champagne bush breakfast and bush dinner, lunch, barbeque lunch and dinner that hold a minimum of 12 pax and at an additional fee. Balloon safaris, flying safaris, sauna, sundowners, wheelchair accessible rooms, and conferences.
