ACCESS & LOCATION of Asilia Highlands Ngorongoro
The camp is easily accessible by both road and air. The nearest airstrip is lake Manyara airstrip with the flight being 45 minutes from Arusha and an hour two two from Serengeti depending on the airstrip you are coming from. From lake Manyara a 3 hour drive is required to the camp.
Through road you can take a drive from Arusha which will be a six to seven hour drive through the great rift valley and past lake Manyara.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Asilia Highlands Ngorongoro
The Highlands feature 8 unique dome-shaped suites that are designed to blend with the natural environment. The suites provide an intimate atmosphere with its large windows that offer great views of its surroundings. Each suite has a fully equipped en-suite bathroom that has hot showers, flushable toilets and double vanities. There are indoor fireplaces in each suite equipped with wood burning stoves. Each suite has its own private veranda perfect for relaxing and winding down after an adventure packed day.
There is a main lounge and dining area. Where guests can comfortably seat around a central fireplace. The dining area offers a mix of both local and international cuisine with bush picnics and sundowners in scenic locations offered. There is a well-stocked bar and coffee station available as well as a small library with books on local wildlife and culture as well as board games for entertainment.

One of the main highlights is a game drive around the Ngorongoro crater. The camp offers both half and full day drives in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you can see various wildlife like rhinos, flamingos, lions and elephants. There is also private game drives which can be arranged as per a guests specific interest be it bird watching to photography safari.
Walking Safaris
You can take part in guided walking safaris that allow you to explore the area on foot giving you that intimate connection with the environment.
