Elewana Loisaba Star Beds features 4 poster wooden beds that sit on raised wooden platforms. A team of traditional Samburu and Laikipiak Maasai warriors welcome you once you get to the camp.
Loisaba is a 57,000 acre conservancy that’s within Laikipia county that is owned by Loisaba Community Trust. This is a Kenyan Trust that is incorporated under the Perpetual Succession of Trusteed Act. It is a trust committed to wildlife and ecological conservation.
ACCESS & LOCATION of Elewana Loisaba Star Beds
There are daily scheduled flights available from Nairobi’s Wilson airport to the Loisaba airstrip which is just 15 minutes away from the star beds. The flight takes approximately an hour and 15 minutes. Chartered flights can also land at the Loisaba airstrip.
If traveling by road the camp is about 380 kms from Nairobi making the drive 6 to 8 hours depending on road conditions. From Nanyuki the camp is 80 kms away making it a 2 hour drive.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Elewana Loisaba Star Beds
The star beds are handcrafted four poster beds with wheels that are rolled out onto raised wooden platforms. They have open to air bathrooms that are designed around the rocky features of the Kopje with a plumbered shower offering hot solar heated water, a basin and flush toilet.
There are three en-suite double rooms that feature a seating area, wardrobe and safe and an ensuite bathroom with shower, flush toilet and vanity all under the cover of a thatched roof.
One en-suite family room that has two double beds pushed out onto separate platforms. They feature a sitting area, wardrobe and safe, with a bathroom that is set slightly apart but adjoined by a short undercover walkway.

ACTIVITIES AT Elewana Loisaba Star Beds
Game drives
Both day and night drives are available. Day game drives give you a chance to encounter a variety of wildlife which include lions,leopards, grevy’s zebra and elephants. As for the night game drives you get to experience the nocturnal side of some animals that become active after dusk such as nocturnal predators and aardvarks.
Bush meals and sundowners
Get to enjoy an unforgettable dining experience surrounded by sights and sounds of the wild it is often paired with bush walks or camel rides. Sundowners involve enjoying a drink at a scenic spot over the horizon.
