Where to Go on Safari in April

The Best Places to Visit and Safaris to do in April

Booking An African Safari in the Month of April

Africa in April experiences one of the year’s biggest weather changes: heavy rains fall across East Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Zanzibar, but down in Southern Africa the reverse is true: it’s drying up.

Botswana should undoubtedly be considered if you’re planning a safari during April. At this time of year, the rains have ended, meaning the Okavango Delta is flooded, creating fresh, idyllic surroundings for the water-based safari activities you can only experience in this unique part of the world.

You can also visit other safari destinations like South Africa, Namibia, Seychelles, and Mauritius. The African Safari experience during these seasons is great since you will spot so much wildlife around water holes and pans.

In East Africa, the rains are heavy, and not suitable for a proper wildlife safari, but can still be a good time to enjoy offers and deals and explore more exclusive safari accommodations.
