Appearance:

Leopards have a pale yellowish to dark golden fur with dark spots grouped in rosettes. Their coats can vary in color depending on their habitat, ranging from tawny in dry areas to reddish-orange in forests. They also have a lighter underside. Black leopards, also known as black panthers, are a melanistic form of the leopard.

Size and Weight:

Males are typically larger than females, with males weighing between 30.9-72 kg (68-159 lb) and females weighing 20.5-43 kg (45-95 lb). They can be 92–183 cm (36–72 in) in length, with a tail of 66–102 cm (26–40 in).

Habitat:
Leopards are highly adaptable and can be found in a wide range of habitats including forests, grasslands, mountains, and even some deserts. They are skilled climbers and spend a lot of time in trees.
Behavior:

Leopards are solitary and primarily nocturnal hunters. They are known for their stealth and hunting prowess, often stalking their prey from trees.

Diet:

Leopards are carnivores and prey on a variety of animals, including ungulates, birds, and small mammals.

Conservation Status:
Leopards are currently listed as “vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) due to habitat loss and hunting.
