Ilkeliani Mara Luxury Camp is located in the Masai Mara, Talek Side or region of the reserve. A luxury touch and wild exposure, makes it one the best choices on a safari to spend at. Nestled in a river glade in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, the area is a favorite for elephants coming to drink from the Talek River.

Ilkeliani Mara Camp’s spacious tented suites have been thoughtfully designed to provide all the little luxuries that enhance a safari. Each suite has complete privacy, tucked into a grove of trees with its private entrance. Raised on stilts, each offers sweeping views across the Talek River onto the golden plains of the Maasai Mara. The suites have spacious wooden decks with detachable canvas sides and are elegantly adorned with flowing fabrics, comfortable furnishings, and subtle lighting.
The bathrooms, with views on all sides, include an indoor shower that opens to the outdoors and has amenities made specifically for Ilkeliani from indigenous local plants. The luxury family suite, with a spacious living area between two bedrooms, is ideal for families or groups of friends.

Balloon Safaris
Balloon flights are available daily in Maasai Mara and take off from designated sites where the disturbance to animals is kept to a minimum. Your safari vehicle drops you off at the take-off site and picks you up from your landing site. The flight is followed by a champagne breakfast “in the bush”, with a well-laid-out seating arrangement and waiters on hand, to give you a fitting finale to your memorable flight in the wild.

Wow! What an amazing place. Total luxury in the Masai Mara. The stand out thing here is surely the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, incredibly attentive. They always made us feel very special. The accommodation is stunning, spotlessly clean and spacious as well as wonderfully comfortable which is exactly what is needed after a day in safari. The food was first class too.
