Overland Bunyonyi Resort is accessed primarily by driving through Kabale Town, which serves as the regional gateway to Lake Bunyonyi. The resort is located just 7 to 8 km from the center of The Final Stretch (From Kabale Town to the Resort) Kabale town along the KabaleтАУKachwekano Road. The Route: Drive through Kabale town center following the main highway toward Kisoro. Roughly 0.5 km outside the town center, look for a major Y-junction and turn left onto the KabaleтАУKachwekano Road (watch for prominent signage pointing toward Lake Bunyonyi and Overland Resort)
Travel Time: Roughly 15 to 20 minutes.
From Kampala / Entebbe: The trip is approximately 410тАУ450 km and takes 8 to 9 hours.
From Kigali, Rwanda: The journey takes roughly 3 to 4 hours.
From Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: If you are tracking gorillas in the Buhoma, Rushaga, or Nkuringo sectors, it is a scenic mountain drive south to Kabale taking roughly 2.5 to 3 hours.
From Kisoro Airstrip to Bunyonyi Overland Resort is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
To access Bunyonyi Overland Resort by air, you will need to book a domestic safari flight into Kisoro Airstrip (KIS), followed by a short road transfer to the lake. Because there is no active airstrip directly on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, Kisoro is your only commercial fly-in option.

Travel Time: The road transfer takes 1.5 to 2 hours to cover the roughly 65-kilometer mountain distance directly to the gates of Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
