About Ashnil Samburu Camp
Ashnil Samburu Camp is a luxury tented set in the spectacular backdrop drop of the Mighty Ol Olokwe mountain fronting Ewaso Nyiro River. An outdoor swimming pool surrounded by sun lounges, a garden and a Lounge bar offering views of the African savannah.
The restaurant offers views of the river and serves a variety of menus comprising of Oriental, traditional and international cuisines. A range of activities are available on request and comprise of game drives, nature Walks and a cultural visit to the Samburu Village, bush meals like bush lunch/dinner and sundowners.

Ashnil Samburu Camp sits in
Buffalo Springs Game Reserve which takes its name from an oasis of crystal clear water at the western end of the reserve. its 1 hour flight from Nairobi landing at the nearest airstrip known as Kalama Airstrip. If you are driving, it will take Approx. 8 hours to arrive in Samburu Ashnil Camp using Archers Post Gate.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT Ashnil Samburu Camp
There are a total number of 19 deluxe en-suite tents, 9 with King or Queen sized beds, 7 with twin beds and 3 with triple beds. Each of the exclusive comfortable deluxe tents gives perfect view of the Ewaso Nyiro River, surrounding beautiful landscape and all lives this brown river supports. Every spacious tent consists of a dressing area, sitting area, luggage rack and en-suite facilities to provide a memorable stay close to nature.
Each luxury tent has a wooden deck overlooking the plains and wildlife in the reserve; the Mara River, famous for the wildebeest migration. The bed is draped in mosquito nets and the private bathroom includes a shower with free toiletries.

Balloon Safaris
Balloon flights are available daily in Maasai Mara and take off from designated sites where the disturbance to animals is kept to a minimum. Your safari vehicle drops you off at the take-off site and picks you up from your landing site. The flight is followed by a champagne breakfast “in the bush”, with a well-laid-out seating arrangement and waiters on hand, to give you a fitting finale to your memorable flight in the wild.
Game Guided Walks
Offering a refreshingly alternative view of the wilderness, a guided nature walk promises panoramic vistas, gentle exercise, and a fascinating insight into the world of African trees, flowers, insects, reptiles, birds, and animals. It also offers the ultimate contrast to the game drive.

A visit to a Maasai village is almost inevitable when travelling to the Maasai Mara. The Maasai (or Masai) are mostly known for the colourful garments and jewellery they wear, their warriors and high jumps, which continue to fascinate tourists.
