Best Time To Visit Uganda For Safaris
The best time to go on a Uganda safari adventure is during the dry seasons of June to September and December to February. This is when the skies are clear, and the conditions are ideal for trekking mountain gorillas or going on a wildlife safari. The temperatures are also ideal, averaging 26°C, making it easier to hike the trails.
Alternatively, you can go on a Uganda safari adventure during the Green Season of March to May. This is when the landscape is green, and the bird watching is at its best. It is also Rainier, but you will get to enjoy fewer tourists and lower prices.

Is a visa required for Uganda Safaris?
Yes, most foreign nationals will need a visa for a safari in Uganda, which has to be applied for online via the Uganda Electronic Visa and Permit Application System. A single-entry tourist visa will cost about USD $50 and is required for most foreign nationals to gain entry into the country.
Do I need vaccinations for Uganda?
Yes, you require certain vaccinations when traveling to Uganda. Yellow Fever Vaccination is required for all travelers over 1 year of age, and Malaria is a significant risk that requires prescription medication, while Routine diseases (MMR, DTP), Hepatitis A, B, and Typhoid vaccinations are highly recommended.

How far in advance should I book gorilla permits?
Permits for gorilla trekking in Uganda should be arranged 6 to 12 months in advance. Because of the demand, only a limited number of permits (8 per group per day) are available, and during peak seasons (June to August and December to February), it is important to book in advance to get your preferred dates.
Is it safe to visit Uganda?
