How to Pay for Ndere Island National Park Fees
How do you pay for Ndere Island National Park Fees? To pay for Park Fees, you will have to visit the KWS E-Citizen Account, create an account, and select Ndere Island National Park to pay for the park fees.
1. Download the e-Citizen mobile app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
2. Open the app and create an account or sign in if you already have an account.
3. Tap on the “Services” tab.
4. Scroll down and select “Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS)”.
5. Select the park or sanctuary that you want to visit.
6. Enter the number of adults and children in your party.
7. Select the payment method.
You can pay using M-Pesa, Airtel Money, or a credit/debit card.
8. Review your payment details and tap on “Pay”.
You will receive a confirmation message once your payment is successful.
The transaction will be mirrored in the Kenya Wildlife Service system, facilitating the visitor’s entry to the park upon arrival at the entrance. On the day of Visit, ensure you have the ticket, and share it with the gate wardens for entry to the park.

How to Get to Ndere Island National Park
By Road & Boat
From Kisumu City, take a road trip to Kendu Bay Road toward Kisian and Homa Bay, then branch off towards Kamagambo to reach Kaloka Beach which is about 1.5 hours by road. From Kaloka Beach, take a boat ride of about 15 to 20 minutes across Lake Victoria to Ndere Island.
By Air
The nearest airport is Kisumu International Airport which is about 50 km from the park. From the airport, you can take a taxi or hire a car to Kaloka Beach, then board a boat to the island.
By Water (Boat Charter from Kisumu)
Travelers can charter a boat directly from Dunga Beach in Kisumu to Ndere Island, which takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, offering a scenic ride across Lake Victoria.
